The same thing happened to us.  Priceless pictures and memories lost in the name of a few more dollars in Verizon's pocket.  The interesting part is that not once did I receive a TEXT from the CELL PHONE COMPANY to tell me this was happening.  I am signed up for text alerts but none came.  So go ahead and wipe my pictures out.  At the end of this contract, my husband and I  are done with Verizon after being with them for nearly 20 years.  Will this make or break them?  No.  But I'd rather give my money to a company who cares about it's customers. This is utterly disappointing.  Shame on you Verizon.

We can relate to how important your memories are to you. We save our photos too. We don't want to see you go. We did send out many alerts about the Cloud content. I've sent you a personal message to look into options together.
