Texts now have @@@@

Since the recent update, a friend tells me that my texts have rows of ampersands @ in the text. Is anyone else having this problem?

How can we uninstall this latest update? Life was good and easy before...

Gracias por tus comentarios. Adding to what was stated, Akwest666 the @@@ at the end of a text message could be related to characters not being processed on your friends phone. Sometimes when characters do not to show up right on a device it can default to a standard symbol, such as @@@. Here is a suggestion. Try sending a message to your friend making sure it is no longer than 160 characters. Afterward, access the same message in your sent folder and forward the same sent message to another person. Compare results between each sent message. Please ask your friend and the other person you forward your message you sent back to you for comparing the two. If each of the two had the error with the standard symbol, there would need to be more research to determine the issue. If only your friend received the error result, his device would need to be trouble shooted to see what is causing the issue.  Does your friend have this same issue with receiving text messages from others?

Also, there has been a new release of a software update for your device that can address additional concerns. The update should have been pushed to the device. If not, please use this link for further instructions and steps how to obtain the update: http://support.vzw.com/system_update/samsung_fascinate.html

This has been occurring to some when they go over the CDMA 160 character limit when sending a text.  Usually the entire text arrives with the "@@@" in between or sometimes at the end.

Don't know of a fix.
