Unlike the motorola phone the fascinate will not update ota

I am on PP also I got the update on xda

Beg to differ.

I have 3 Fascinates and all 3 have updated every release OTA so far, including both Froyo

and just recentlly, Gingerbread.  All 3 working just fine.

And you are on Pageplus Wireless with a Fascinate and get Over the air updates

Thats Interesting I have 3 Fascinates in my House on PP

My Brother has Two with PP

And not one of them will OTA

But my wifes Droid 1 gets all the updates and it is on Pageplus Wireless

So it must just be random

Pageplus wireless is a Bring your own device cell company

and it runs on Verizon network

No, I am not on Pageplus.

Verizon on Verizon network..

thats where the OTAs are working OK for me.

I originally thought page plus was an 'app'.

After rereading original post, and follow ups, now

I understand what pageplus is.  Sorry If I caused any confusion.
