Hello Nandroid,

Having reliable signal is absolutely important. I will be delighted to go over some suggestions regarding your phone.

There is a new software release available for your phone.  It's rolling out in stages, but I would try going to Settings > About Phone > System Updates and attempt to update your software.

If you've already updated your software please let us know how this worked out!

Thanks,

Hi nandroid,

Have we already replaced this Nexus before? The manufacturer warranty allows us to change the device when there is trouble found with your equipment due to how it was constructed. This warranty is for the same device. No other model phone can be send out outside the 14 day exchange period. We do have other troubleshooting to follow so please advise what has already been done so we can improve from there.

Thank you,

I am having the same problem, pre and post jelly bean update.  Didn't call to complain thinking the Jelly bean would address issues with reception.  I did call customer support today, we reset and they are sending a new sim card to try and resolve the problem.

But basically, half the island i live on i am no longer able to get a data connection.  Traveled to Phoenix, CA, and Las vegas, signal ok, but would drop unexpectedly and then come back.  Phoenix in Maricopa, unable to use data at all.  Having had smartphones now for a bit with Verizon, this is the worst i have had it. Constantly resetting to try grab a signal.

My bionic and OG droid never had as many issues with reception, except after an update to the bionic that totally changed the characteristics of it.  So, for now I have had poor data for the last 4-5 months, getting kind of tired of the constant guinea pig tests and resets.

I have had 2 Sim cards and done many factory resets. Jelly Bean made it not as often as before but it still happens so I'm getting it checked out by a verizon specialists at a coperate verizon store this weekend let's hope this issue is resolved.

One thing we did today was switch to cdma, power down, remove battery, remove sim card.  Assemble again, start up, then switch back to LTE.  I have seen an improvement so far, will have to wait and see how long it lasts.  But one area where I was never getting a data connection, I finally got it to connect tonight.  Keeping fingers crossed!!!
