3G indicator

For the past week or so, the 3G indicator light seems to continually be on . I have WiFi at home and at work and in the past the 3G light only came on if I was not able to connect (ie. out of WiFi range). My phone tells me, via the settings and WiFi indicator lights that everything is fine, even took it into the Verizon store. Whenever I am in applications, that used to work fine via WiFi, now aren't connecting via WiFi and it connects via 3G or the phone tells me (via scrolling messages on the top of my screen) that there is "no network connection available".

When I go into the Settings > WiFi to look at the connection it is constantly (every few seconds) saying "Connected" and then 2 seconds later "Disconnected" and then it scans again and repeats the process.

The WiFi indicator light looks like normal and the bars always show 3 or for bars as being lit. The phone seems to be telling me everything is fine, but it isn't.

Plugandplay, thank you for sharing your concerns with your device. I use my Wi-Fi when at home and work as well and want to make sure we get yours working. Have you tried deleting the connections (tap & hold, then choose Forget) and then setting up again? If not, give this a try. Try other Wi-Fi hotspots also if available to see if the same thing is occurring. If no change, boot your phone into safe mode http://bit.ly/IEC76T and test connectivity. If it is working in safe mode, then a third party application is causing this issue. The last step, if no Wi-Fi connections are working at all, would be a factory reset http://bit.ly/tC9oiG. This will erase all data and reset the phone to default settings. Verify your contacts are backed up to either Backup Assistant or Google first.
