2.2 market my apps not displaying everything

Ok I have very few items installed on my phone currently. I have the 2.2 FROYO and the my apps list for the market says I only have 1 item installed. It consistently tells me I have YouTube installed which is fine. I am missing all my other apps though 90% of the time when I check.

I can search the market for an app I know I have installed such as Google maps. It will list Google maps as installed and street view on Google as installed.

Go back to my apps and it still only says YouTube. **bleep**.

I will post if I ever find a pattern when it actually displays the correct list for my apps, but the easy one is the incorrect since it happens so often.  I have an old habit of every morning visiting the market and seeing if my apps says there are any new updates. I decided then if I will apply any updates or wait till later that or the weekend. I know the new auto update feature should make this a thing of the past, but due to other issues with my phone I am not ready to blindly let it update apps for me. I am trying to figure out if an app is to blame for any of my issues.

Hello,

Have you launched each application you have downloaded? Are you looking for the applications from the Home screen or through the phone's settings?

We look forward to your response.

Thanks.

Yes I have launched and used each application at least once.

I open the market. Once in the market I visit the menu and select the my apps menu item. Normally this would list every app I have downloaded and installed through the market.

I have been unsuccessful at displaying my installed apps. I have rebooted a few times now and no apps under the my apps list. Under 2.1 this was more stable and would more consistently list all of the apps installed through the market.

Visiting the applications item on the home screen does show the installed apps.

Visiting the settings, applications, manager applications, and third party list will show the same apps are actually installed.

Thanks for your reply. In reviewing the response, perhaps as a suggestion is to see if your able to reinstall just one of the applications to see if that same application is displaying under your installed apps list. Something unknown issue could be causing the applications from not being displayed under the apps listing and if re installing one app could allow the app that was once listed under your app list to be displayed, then this might be a step in the direction to resolve the issue.

I've had the same problem. I went to Settings-> Applications-> Manage Applications-> Market then selected "Clear Data". When I returned to the market place all my apps were there. BTW: youtube was the only thing that showed in my apps until I did that.

I have the SAME problem. I HATE this phone and Verizon isn't willing to do anything acceptable about it! :smileysad:  I have tried that "trick" of yours, which fixed it, but then it's back again to just showing You Tube.

I gave in and reset my to factory. So far it is holding the my apps list just fine.

I have seen a few apps not get shoved in this list like kindle which came default on the phone, but that was the behavior under 2.1. Time will tell if this factory reset after the 2.2 update really does fix the issue.
