Thank you for this info, nwalker77. It is common for devices to display signal differently even from devices from the same manufacturer. Especially since the built in antennas can be different. As long as calls are not dropping, all should be good. If anything changes though, please let us know.

The S3 only uses the 700 MHz spectrum while the S5 uses both 700 MHz and AWS. AWS doesn't travel as far or penetrates buildings as well as 700 MHz and the S5 likely defaults to that. Somehow this is still a mystery to people.
