I had that problem at home only too. Enabled advanced calling and WiFi calling, been perfect since.

Purchased a Samsung Galaxy S7 one week ago.  Love the phone and many of its feature.  However, I have had a number of people telling me they can't hear me at all, my voice is breaking up, or the call is dropped---even happened when I called 611 and was trying to talk with a Verizon Wireless rep.  He called me back and then called on our home phone. Had me turn off the phone while he sent some signal to it--signal strength still very poor.  Sent me to level 2 tech who said I needed to run my phone off the WiFi.  It did seem to work better but why should I have to use wifi when I should get good cell phone coverage according to rep?  Plus it seems that I would have to turn the wifi off every time I left home or it will go on public wifi.  Have been with Verizon for 12 years and never had this problem.

dltkt1, having reliable service is what we are about. Reception indoors can often be tricky which is why we've never guaranteed it. It's certainly great when it does work inside of a home or a building however there are too many factors that can exist as to whether or not a device will work indoors. Radio frequency signal has to be able to pass through the structure to ensure optimal signal and any type of metal (roofs, siding), transformers, construction in the area, trees and the radio/antenna in the device itself are a few of those factors that must be considered. For example, I have the Droid Turbo 2 and an iPhone 5s but only the Turbo 2 is able to get reception in my home and my iPhone I often leave in airplane mode since it's usually fluctuating trying to find signal (which subsequently drains the battery).


While services indoors can be challenging at times, there are other options in which to ensure there's still service on your device. One of them is wifi calling which your S7 is equipped with. The other is a repeater/signal booster option. We do offer a network extender option to work as a mini cell tower in your home. My wife has a new S7 and gets terrible service at home. I have the S5 with no issues. Any ideas what we can do to solve this/

I TOO SERIOUSLY, am getting same horrible mind bending crazy quality problem as you. i even have 4 bars. im in the city. i keep getting excuses as because in in a small city. ive had free phones before that were superior than verizons transmission signals. when you get a cure, then we will both be happy.I GAVE UP ON CALLING 611, AND SAMSUNG IS LOST AND CLUELESS. HOW IS IT THAT SO MANY HAVE SAME ISSUE.dont care where towers are anyway.

Making sure your phone gets the best reception at home is important, DAVLOZ78. Let's look into this more in detail. Has this always been an issue? Does this only occur indoors or outdoors as well? Is she able to access the internet, make calls, and text?

Same.. I am told they can not provide me coverage now, that's why phone (2nd phone-replacement) won't work. Doesn't work traveling to Austin Texas either.
