my contacts started to go missing recently,, put them back in and in a while the are gone again

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4, we actually have 2 of them, and both have just started experiencing contact information loss.  Has anyone else been experiencing this?  Don't know of any update recently.

Safeharbor - I'd be lost without my contacts. I'm here to help ensure you're able to retreive yours. I just need a few details first. How are you currently backing up your contacts (i.e. backup assistant, Verizon Cloud, Gmail Google Account)? Also, how much memory is available on your device under Settings>Storage>Available Memory? Keep us posted. I'm sure we'll get this figured out.
