The fact that Verizon has stayed COMPLETELY silent on this publicly is really disconcerting. People shouldn't have to actively seek out an answer about changed shipping dates, these need to be communicated with people directly. Not to mention that people get widely varying answers from different CS Reps.
WELL VERIZON, WHAT GIVES?

Stina, Who did you speak to that mentioned they will begin shipping in the new few days?
I'm curious about this as well. With the sheer number of different responses we've been hearing I'd take it with a grain of salt.

I do this every 6 months with these people (Galaxy S & Note releases). They do not care about us. You claim to be the leader Verizon? LEAD! Truly a garbage company with garbage ethics and business practices. Can't wait to jump ship. SHIP MY PHONE. TODAY.

It was a CS rep when I called. But I had to contact them again this morning and everyones stories are different. So I am not really sure who to believe.

I have had Verizon since they were Verizon back in 2000. I pre-ordered the Silver S7 Edge on the 23rd of February. The pre-orders were listed to start at 8AM. They actually put the phone live a few minutes before that and I ordered one immediately. I received confirmation that I will be getting the phone on March 11 and that I will be updated when it ships. I now check the status of my order and it says March 31. This is why people leave Verizon. I contacted them this morning via "Chat Now" and spoke with a woman. She made notes on my account with the Online TEAM and said it would be taken care of. I then called the number I was given and the man said in the nicest way possible, "well it is what it is". The reason there is such a "high demand" for the phone is because Verizon is shorting their online orders and sending everything to their brick and mortar locations first. Is it a surprise that AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile already started shipping their phones and Verizon is left in the dust as always. I had problems getting my Note Edge last year and now I am getting nothing but the run-around with this phone. As always, customer service is Verizon's weak suit.

My email shipping date say March 11. When I click the check my order status in the email, the website shows 3/31 as the ship date. I signed a contract that said my phone would be shipped by 3/11, Verizon better honor that contract.

That is exactly what happened to me. I am tired of being thrown around with no explanation why. I also re-upped my 2 year contract with that phone listed as March 11 and a customer service representative also told me it would be addressed and handled. I hope Verizon is reading this right now, but that would involve actually customer service for once.

Yeah isnt the whole point of Pre-Order to get your phone held until release so that you actually get it if the stores run out....not the other way around.

You would think. That blast their whole website with the "Pre-Order" now crap and they can''t even allocate their products properly. Wouldn't it make more sense to figure out how many you are actually getting before you allow that many orders? They were so worried about matching the other 3 major carriers that they now forgot that those other carriers are already shipping those devices!
