The lack of concern from Verizon about patching Android devices is very disturbing. Samsung needs to force carriers like Verizon to release security patches as they become available (Apple is updating their devices as they see fit without going back to the carrier) what Verizon wants to do is release more bloatware and advertising.
Verizon is putting Oath bloatware like Go90 on its Galaxy S9 phones - The Verge
You do get this is more of a Samsung issue than Verizon one

Samsung, the company that released the most explosive phone of 2016, should be able to force their code without carrier vetting? Sure. What could possibly go wrong?

Clearly the reason the At&t model is on the same patch as the Verizon model.
Meanwhile, the Uncarrier is all about security. They pushed the April security update to their model on April 13. If only all carriers were as concerned for their customers' secur...oh wait! They pulled the update on April 14. So now almost ALL of the S9/S9+ models are still on the release software.
Software updates: Samsung Galaxy S9 | T-Mobile Support
Looks like there might is an issue with the update on Samsung's end.

Should say *be* an issue. That typo is Verizon's fault.

I like to remind people this is a phone maker issue not a Verizon one. I got my JUNE update for my Verizon Pixel 2 XL yesterday.

It's very simple. Verizon has a different model for distributing software updates/patches from some venders (e.g., Google and Apple), where the software comes directly from the the manufacturer to consumer devices, as opposed to other vendors (e.g., Samsung). Samsung provides updates to the carriers (e.g., Verizon), and Verizon then performs their own testing and verification prior to releasing software to their customers.
