Updated my phone to VRUDMI1, which seems to have helped the WIFI, no doubt.

However, there is one annoying thing that has changed with the update. If you are on a call (speaker phone) on the call screen, and say you want to look something up on the web... Hit your home button, while in Speaker Phone, the top bar turns green as you are in a call. So, you browse the web and find what you are looking for, then you go back to pull the top menu bar down to go back to the call screen

Well, the screen turns black and times out as you are trying to swype the top menu bar down.  You have have to swipe your hand over the screen 3-4 times to get the green bar to pull down without the screen turning off. Keep in mind, this is while on speaker phone. If I am on a Bluetooth call, or on my wired headset and I do the same thing, I have NO issue. Top bar pulls down easy and the screen never shuts off.

I am often on speakerphone then go to look at things on my phone and I can't get back to the call. This is super annoying and already am hating this. It never did this before.

For the record, I did a factory reset after the update and it did it before the RESET and Does it after the Reset. I am guessing this will stay until Android 4.3. I haven't seen anyone else comment on this change, but it sucks.

hold the home button and choose the phone app from your recent apps doesn't get to the call screen?

I agree that sounds annoying, but this should be an easy workaround until such time as the issue may be fixed.

For sure, that works no problem. I just want someone to read this an hope that Verizon could take notice. With that said, you can wish in one hand and Sh$% in the other, which one fills first.

For the record, if you are super gentle and slow, you can pull the menu bar down, while on speakerphone then on the home screen, but it is a major annoyance that something so stupid could get broken in this update.

If and when Verizon opens up to Google Devices (NEX 5 or play S4), I will be dumping this S4 tomorrow. I am done with any carrier "Branded phone"

After the update all apps I transferred to my SD card have icons that are grayed out. This is for the home screen and in Apps. Hitting the icon in either place gives a popup that the application isn't installed. I tried unmounting and mounting the SD card, I tried turning off my phone and started it back up (which did popup, unexpectedly, "Optimizing Apps 1 of 1" during the bootup even though the phone already rebooted itself and did the optimizing after I installed the update), and still the my phone says the apps aren't installed now. I tried moving the apps back on to device memory and it says the application isn't installed but yet it lists it ... go figure. And holy crap my battery died a half hour ago! I have been able to use my phone from a fresh charge all day and if I forgot to plug it in that night still have a decent amount to get me through the morning. It is currently dead and charging .... this update really whacked my phone ... I am so disappointed. If it keeps acting like this I am wiping it and going back to my Nexus. It's an older phone but I never had these stupid bloatware problems sucking the life out of my phone. Samsung needs to realize these aren't laptops. It's nice to have the enormous amount of functionality in your hand but there needs to be a line in the sand or at least give us a choice on what we want to install and use .... this means you too Verizon .... grrrrrrr.

Update: I tried to look at my SD card on my computer and it can't read it. I did yank out the card and now my battery drain is back to what it was before but it seems the update corrupted my SD card.
