Like a lot of other users, I've been having major issues with my phone since the Marshmallow update. Here's my list of issues:
1. Voicemail app no longer works (Crashes saying it's "Stopped working")
2. Corporate e-mail no longer syncs (I can set up the account, and sync initially, but none thereafter)
3. Certain streaming apps lock up and buffer endlessly (Pandora, Facebook, Amazon Music..)
Here's what I've tried based on these forums, and other research:
1. Reinstalled problem apps.
2. Wiped cache partition.
3. Backup and factory reset.
After the factory reset, I have no clue what else to try. My wife also has the same phone, and the same exact issues.
Any suggestions? Should Verizon be replacing the phone at this point?
Sorry for the repetitive question, I see many other forums seeking the same answers. I'm just not sure what to do after a factory reset.
make sure the Power Saving feature is turned off .....steps are the Notification panel then quick feature selection it may fix that issue
Corporate e-mail : check with your IT dept
streaming apps: send email to devolper for solution and make sure all apps are up to date
Thanks for the suggestions. I've already tried disabling power save mode, with no difference.
As far as my corporate email goes, I am the IT department. I manage and maintain our Microsoft Exchange server. I have had no problem downloading third party mail apps, and syncing with my mail server. It's only the native android app that doesn't function. The downside to third party mail apps, is they don't have calendar features.
Have you tried turning off the new "doze" feature for your problem apps (email, facebook, etc)? This fixed syncing issues on my end (Galaxy S6, 6.0.1).
We want your device to be working flawlessly, Dondartagnan. What Voice-mail application are you using specifically? After the re-install of the applications, how are they working now? How do you have the e-mail set up for the native app? POP/IMAP?
