When I connect my S7 by the Samsung cord and USB/microUSB, the device does not appears on my Windows 7 laptop.
Tech support had me turn on USB debugging, had me download a Driver to my PC from Samsung, said a few incantations, yet still it does not pick up my phone.....I'd like to connect the two.
(To get my phone photos to Picasa I have uploaded to Google Drive from phone and now I am downloading from Drive to my PC, then I will be able to edit them on Picasa.)
Thanks
Steven

Did you check your device Manager and see if the drivers are installing correctly? When you installed the drivers did you run them in administrator?

Connect your phone to your computer then do a single finger swipe down on your phone to get to the notifications, one notification will say Connected for Charging Touch for other USB options... that's the one you want to select....then change to Transfer Media Files. Once selected you computer will recognize your phone.

I have found that option> I then get the pop-up message on my phone that
says:
Attention
The connected device is unable to access data on this phone. Reconnect the
USB cable and try again.
I have tried all the ports and cables, my old Droid Razr Maxx still works
via those routes.
