Just today, I found that on at least one text conversation, most of the messages have been deleted. And by most, I mean I have messages from the last day or so, one from September and then none between then and December of last year. This is someone I text with 20 times a day at least. All the pictures and whatnot are gone as well. Have no idea why, the conversation is still on his phone but not on mine. I had him text me and mine still don't show up. Where are they, and how can I restore them ? I do NOT want to do a hard reset, I have 3 years of data on my phone I do not want to lose. I have restarted, I have plenty of storage, I cleared the cache. I need this conversation back.
Unless you had them backed up by some method, there is no way to restore them. Might I suggest using one of the many SMS Backup applications available in the Play Store.
