Recent S8+ Software Update causing Samsung keyboard crash

I installed the recent S8+ software update this evening at 5:22 PM (Android Oreo, improved productivity, and security patches) and after it ran and restarted, the Samsung keyboard no longer works.  I cannot even type in my pin to reset to factory settings.  Took it to a Verizon store and after playing with for 45 minutes, they simply ordered me a new one which will arrive in a day.  Is there a way to roll back the update or fix this?  Odd my phone would be the only 1 impacted.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing an issue with your keyboard after updating the device software, XAV23KRIS. I have been in a similar position and a factory reset resolved my issue. To answer your question, once the software is updated there isn't a way to go back to the previous version. You mentioned that you took your phone to a store in order to troubleshoot the issue and you're unable to enter your PIN to factory reset. Are you able to turn your phone off? If so, there is an alternate method available to factory reset this device: https://vz.to/2ISzuEw . Does this help?
