Poor reception/signal with s8 plus

Anyone have poor reception from their new S8. I am getting poor reception,

dropped calls and complaints that I sound garbled while using my two S8s.

I never had these issues with my previous phones (S6 plus).

Details and troubleshooting steps that I have tried:

1. Verizon is our carrier

2. Took them to the verizon store

3. Had sim cards changed twice

4. Settings changed from gsm to lte only

5. Replaced phones twice

6. Multiple factory resets

Facts:

1. My daughter uses her s6 rught beside mt s8s and she has great signal

while we do not.

2. Her S6 retains calls at the same time as our S8s are drop calls

3. Thus happens in varios locations (NC, NJ, CA and etc.) not just home

(VA)...however we are most upset that we can't use our new S8s un our house.

4. Poor signal on S8s with or without cases on them

5. Traded in our perfect S6s for these new S8s Smiley Sad

Question:

1. Is there an antenna issue or software issue that affects the antenna?

2. How can this be resolved?

I am having the same issue. I have both the S8 and S8+. The signal is terrible. I have restart my phone several times a day in order to get any signal. Switched from the iphone 6plus and galaxy s5. Never had a problem with either one of these.

  I am having the exact same problem with my 3mo  S8+. For this to be such an Expensive and Supposedly "Technologically Advanced" cell phone, I have never owned a phone with such poor signal strength and quality.  I switched over from Straight Talk, where I had a full 5 bars of signal and EXTREMELY fast internet to this S8+ on Verizon and have 0-no more than 2bars and slower than snail sh!t internet /data...

I am EXTREMELY Disappointed and getting disgusted by the performance of this P.O.S.

I would be REALLY impressed with Samsung and Verizon if they can figure out what the problem is and what the solution for this problem is.

My wife's S8+ has the same issue, I can be sitting right beside her with my old Galaxy S5, connected and using the interwebs while she's got nothing. Really disappointing. I was waiting to upgrade to an S8+ too on a Black Friday deal, but not now! Smiley Sad

I have two phones on my acct...my iPhone 7+ and my son’s S8+. For a few days he was getting 1-bar reception and couldn’t make calls and had difficulty with texts. In same house, I had 4-bars on my iphone. we tried to find a fix and wound up toggling “Global” cellular setting to “LTE/CDMA” and then back to “Global”...he had all his bars back, after doing that. This was last night. Need to check in with him to see if it’s functioning normally still, but thats all we did and it seemed to work magic....don’t think he restarted it like I suggested he do, but he may have.

Have you considered that the S8 antenna may be bad?

So did Verizon reply to this issue at all I'm about to throw mine under a bus and switch to AT&T like io wish I did before I upgraded to this S8+
