Photo Gallery changes

In my Photo Gallery I want to change the order  of the pictures. How do I accomplish that ?

If you open up a folder and press menu, you may get grouping options, but that may be the best you can do.  You could try using a file explorer app to re-arrange the photos, but I don't know if that will help.  There is also the option of renaming the photos to get them saved in a different order, but I don't know how the gallery natively sorts the photos (I think it's by date taken).

I tranferred a folder with about 50 pics that were allready in order by  A TO Z.  They are re-arranged on the phone and I think you are right that it is going by some other option rather than the Alpa. Appreciate your comments and am going to keep trying to come up with an answer.  Thanks

As demmo86rt suggested they are ordered by date.   It's not the date taken, but the date the file is created on the phone.  In cases of the picture being taken on the phone they are one and the same, but when you copy a photo to the phone they are different.

If you want photos to appear in a certain order:

Create a folder on the phone in phone memory or external SDcard, makes no difference.  I keep all of my photos in folders under the main DCIM folder, but you don't have too..

Copy the photos one at a time to the phone.  The first photo copied will be at the bottom of the list and the last photo copied will be at the top of the list.

Works for me.  Try it and see if it works for you.
