I'm not sure what the issue is... I ran the device check on my Samsung S7 and have deleted a lot of messages, thinking if I free'd up space, then it would work again... I"m not sure if anyone else is experiencing the issue or not... My phone is blazing hot as well and keeps shutting off randomly if I use it for longer than 30 seconds

I can't delete messages... because if I do, my phone gets blazing hot and my phone wont receive messages. I can see that my wife is typing, but it won't send any thru. I have to go in and delete all the cache and data from the app in settings. Then do a force stop and once it comes back up, all of my messages that I tried to delete are still there. My messages then start to work again. I was on the phone for over an hour with the tech coach, and she couldn't figure out what the problem was either. Not sure why it won't let me delete the messages without turning my phone into a fire hazard
