Mkkmaui, thank you so much for reaching out to us today. This is a very good question that you ask. You can always delete information from your Verizon Cloud by logging into your My Verizon. Check out this link for all the steps on how how to complete that: http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-126145/
Are you looking to not use the Verizon Cloud at all on the device? Or are you looking to only use the back up when you want to manually back up your device? Please keep us posted.

SEAYHORSE,
I know how important it is to have control over your cloud. Here is another link http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-126145/. This provides you the steps to delete media. It also allows you to manually backup when you would like.
