I've checked to make sure that background data isn't being restricted and I have cleared the cache and have uninstalled updates to re-install. Is there something I'm missing? I can't update any of my apps because of this. I've been a customer for 3 days and it's already been a pain.

Oh no, I am sorry to hear your Google Play will not work on your new device. Are your other data services working such as the browser, exisiting apps, and emails? Please share additional details.
