My husbands Galaxy s6 edge which he got just over a year ago has started having battery issues.. When he plugs it in to the charger it gets extremely hot and shows a message on the screen saying phone must cool down. I know its now out of warranty (of course), is there any ideas of what he can do to fix this issue? His is on the payment plan and to pay off and upgrade is almost $300 which is just not feasible right now for us
You can buy a Certified Pre-Owned, early upgrade (paying off the remaining balance), 3rd Party (Amazon, Craigslist), or Bring Your Own Device. If the device is out of warranty by a few days or weeks you may be able to get one anyways. I would call Technical Support by dialing #8989.
I have the same issue.. for a long time now. It gets so HOT you can't put it to your face.. Called Verizon Several Times.. Want me to do a Factory ReBoot for they will send me out a replacement. Plus my battery life is so BAD!! I'm having to charge my cell atleast 3 times a day.
