Galaxy S7 Doesn't Receive or Show Missed Calls

I'm constantly told by family and friends that they've called me when the phone has been sitting right next to me. The phone doesn't ring and it doesn't register as a missed call. I've had this problem since I received the phone a few months ago. No one at the store or phone technical support seem to know why this is happening or able to help me with the problem.

STAFRA18, the reason for a phone is to make sure you’re reachable. If you’re having problems with your calls coming in and/or not even showing, we need to get this addressed. Did you have problems like this prior to having the Galaxy S7? Do you have problems with signal in these areas? Do you have any issues with texting or data use?

Does the phone ring ever?  Could you have call forwarding on?
