Forwarding a text containing a video

Can anyone advise as to how I can forward a text to which a video is attached to other parties? I have tried going to the text, left clicking the menu button, selecting "add recipients", including a brief message, and pressing "send." All that happens is that the recipient receives my text with the message, but WITHOUT the video. I have attempted this using wifi and my 4G connection, both with the same results. I have even tried forwarding it via email without success.

Have you tried long pressing the message to get a dialog box with an option to forward the message?
