I can start a group text thread (sent as a single MMS message), but I don't receive any messages sent in reply. This didn't used to be a problem on the phone. Software was updated to Android 5.0 (lollipop) - I545VRUGOC1 on May 5, 2015.
I've also had some issues with texts not being received in one on one conversations. I asked one person to switch their iPhone settings to default to SMS messages, not sure if it entirely solved the issue.
Please help!
I'm sorry you're having issues with group messaging after your software update ryaniddell. ARe you using a 3rd party messaging application? ARe you having this issue when on wifi or on our network. Are you having issues with any of your applications? Try putting your phone in safe mode to see if your apps may be causing a functionality issues. Here are the steps http://vz.to/1ysmVqc . Text your group messaging while phone is in safe mode. If your phone works fine, you will need to remove or update some of your apps.

Thank you for your response. I was using the stock messaging application, but also tried using 3rd party apps such as Textra. The problem seems to be the same no matter the messaging application. I put my phone in safe mode and sent a group text, but I still did not receive any replies. Is this possibly a problem related to the upgrade to the latest Android OS (Lollipop)?

I truly apprecate you testing your phone in safe mode and all the other troubleshooting steps you have taken. Have you tried using Verizon Messages (Messages+) to see if you still have the same issue with receiving the replies? I would like to make sure you device is resynced with the network fully after the update also. Please power off your device and remove and reinsert the SIM can test again to see if you receive replies from the group messages... http://vz.to/YGC099

Thank you, Lindsey. I installed Verizon Messages (Messages+) and sent another group text. Unfortunately, I still did not receive the replies. I asked people to send me a separate, individual text to let me know if they responded to the group text; I get the individual texts, but not the replies to the group text.

Thanks for giving that a shot. Since the issue is still persisting it may be best to reset the device to factory defaults. Prior to doing so, you'll want to make sure the device is backed up.
