Camera does not work / photos will not pull up?

My camera will not work and photos will not pull up on phone, from gallery or Google photos. The phone will completely turn off when I try and assess thesee apps

My phone is the main way that I capture my memories, so not being able to do so would be a huge concern. Let’s find out what is going on. When did this start happening? Also, what software version are you currently running on your device?

I have the most recent update on my S5 and my photos are completely gone and I can't seem to find them anywhere

You mention Google photos on your original messages, and that is a great place to store your photos when your phone is setup to backup pictures and videos automatically. Let's first make sure that your photos are safely backed up online.
