I'm trying to recover my contacts on my GSIII. It is the same physical phone, although I will be getting a new one soon. I backed up the contacts and saw them upload. I then restored the phone, and attempted to import the contacts via Backup Assistant Plus. It prompted me for a PIN, which I did not have. I was not asked to provide one when initially backing up my contacts. I attempted to follow web links, but they are broken. I followed the automated systems on the phone, getting to the point where I enter in the last 4 digits of my SSN to acquire the PIN. The system came back with an error. I have not spoken to an agent in person about this matter. Why does this not work?

It works most of the time, for instance usually what happens is you can reset your pin by pressing the # sign or clicking where it says, but if not, Customer Service can reset it for you.

Lets get you that pin number, customer_4112! Here is how:
1. Dial *611 from the mobile device.
2. At the Main Menu, choose 3 for Other Options.
3. When prompted to say what the call is about, say "Backup Assistant."
4. When asked if the call is to retrieve the PIN, say "Get my PIN."
5. Answer the account security question as prompted.
6. The PIN is read aloud twice to the caller, and a text message is sent to the device with the PIN
Thank you,
