This explains a lot. I have to lay mine on the table near the ac unit, if my phone explodes and my baby is any where around, so help me Verizon. I have had nothing but run arounds with this company, I need a phone and one that is of equal value, I didn't pay for a phone that could cause harm to myself or children. If this was originally posted two days ago you would think the people who bought online would be taken care of. No, Verizon take you time but never a customer. Sick of it bring on he lawsuit! I'm so mad !! I waited for the Note 7 I didn't want the S7 or S7 edge and i didn't want the iphone 6 becasue they drop the 7 the 16th.... I'll wait til then to receive that phone but samsung will have lost a customer for good.

You posted what Verizon said they were doing, and then you ask if you can get your phone replaced with the same device. Was there something in what you posted in their statement that you missed?
And be if you purchased those accessories from someone other than Verizon you will have to follow their exchange policy or take it up with Samsung.
Verizon is only the service provider; they do not make the phones.

You have to lay it near the AC unit; but you are continuing to use the device. Hmm. That will go over well in a lawsuit, as you just stated your usage on a public forum which can be used in court. Also anything you pay for can cause harm to you or your children. There are risks associated with everything. Nothing is going to be perfect, because the makers of products are not perfect. Goodness.

I didn't see any about online users? When I contacted Verizon they stated they were working on the issue and would send a return package. Also provider or not they provided the phone whether through another company or not. We need phones we didn't pay Verizon for a phone that could do harm to ourselves and family so with that being said I want a phoen of equal greater value. Also no I'm using a a flip phone my kids come first, and yes lawsuit won't go over well when they recalled and can still cause harm.

Also when I received the phone and contacted Verizon about the issue they said I had 14 days to replace it. REPLACE WITH WHAT so i can wait for in store credit or wait 2 months to receive my money back from the difference. I'm not mad at Verizon for the issue yes electronics have defaults I'm mad because the run around they keep putting people through. I'm not going to have a phone ooze battery acid all over me. I use my phone for school on the go and contacting my family who doesn't live near me. I am paying verizon for a flip phone when I have 1000.00 phone sitting in its original box due to defaults. I don't think asking for a phone of equal or greater value is asking to much. Goodness.

I called Verizon and was told I probably won't have any problem but could switch to the s7 or edge and get a $25 off accessories credit. So I went into a branch to clarify. They suggested I switch. Not sure when note 7 would be back and get $25 off accessories. Next day I went back after deciding to downgrade to s7 edge. No credit on note 7 accessories I already bought. Bought new case and Zagg. Got no credit. AND had to pay sales tax on the new phone again. Only to find out after everything was done and I got home, that note 7 will be back this week. So if I want to switch back...and I already do...it'll cost me again!! Not happy

1. Truth. They ARENT sure when it will be back. However the resolution was you can swap with another n7 when it's resolved or switch to a different device. This has been posted everywhere inc on the Verizon website.
2. Where did you buy the accessories from?
3. A screen protector could never be returned to begin with.
4. Sales tax is always applied and state regulated. Perhaps discuss with your local alderman.
5. When you got home all of a sudden NOW you see what happened?!
Ok.

You will receive a refund to the method of payment for the sales tax. You can switch back to the Note 7 and return the accessories for no additional charge because you will get both previous sales taxes back.

Pherson,
Samsung made it clear an exchange will be offered thru Verizon.
Verizon has made it sorta clear stating that I can return to stock without a restocking fee, or trade for an S7 or S7 edge.
According to the information I have, Samsung says I will get a new Note7 thru Verizon, but Verizon has not acknowledged the replacement of an Note 7, not to be confused with an S7, will be offered.
I'm just trying to find out if I hold out for an actual Note for Note exchange, and it goes past the September 30th deadline for restocking, will I truly miss the boat if Samsung doesn't pull through on replacements.
From the way it sounded from the text and email from Verizon, the Note 7 was pulled from retail shelves for safety concerns, and I got the feeling it might not return.
So if I listen to my gut in this instance, and wait, I don't want to miss the boat to exchange.
