I upgraded in-store to a Note 4 and I think I got a refurb. The box wasn't sealed, it's missing earphones, the peel away protective film on the display was blank and in every unboxing video it shows that the protective film has the phone details printed on it. How can I tell if they gave me a refurbished phone?
How can I verify?
Thank you!

The Note 4 does not come with headphones and my protective sticker was also blank. None of the boxes are sealed, they have a sleeve that slips off and on and no seals on them.
You can install the following app and look at basic info like manufacture date, charge cycles and headphone connect count and get a feel for whether it is new as well.

All the reviews I just searched through YouTube had no markings on the screen protector out of box for Verizon versions. Also they don't come with headphones.
As for the seal hard to say why it's broken. I believe their policy in general is to activate it in store to make sure everything works at time of purchase and you may have not noticed they did just that, or was in a rush that the rep was about to but ended up foregoing the policy so you can hop out quicker.

Thank you both. I didn't go the extra step to discover that the Verizon edition does not include the headphones nor the printed protective film. My apologies, thanks for the replies!
