How do I use speech to text?

On my Note 5 I used to be able to speak to "type" text messages. That icon is gone. Any ideas on why or how to get it back? Gracias

Long-press the button just to the right of the SYM key (should look like a gear for Settings) and you should get a pop-up where you can toggle the microphone, clipboard, and Settings.
