No pickup for pre paid customers

Why would I pay 800.00 on a phone to have it shipped to my address and left outside all day when I’m at work possibly stolen/sitting out in the Arizona heat. Prepay customers are customers as well and should have the option to pick up in store! Just wow!! I will be switching to xfinity since Verizon seems to not take customer service seriously. First off I should be able to be a post pay customer but 70+ for a single line really??!! That’s just plain crazy!  You basically send all your one line customers away to other service providers. Then you offer prepay as a way to having 1 line affordable then treat us like dirt. We pay for our cell phones in full upfront but are treated like second rate customers.

Tmobile's magenta and magenta plus plan are $60 and $70 respectively so $70 for a single line with postpaid is pretty standard with unlimited.

Typically someone is on prepaid if they have poor credit or trying to save -- it doesn't make much economic sense in either situation to buy a $800 phone.

Work for Verizon??? Seems like you do....Wasn’t talking about unlimited they don’t even offer 5gb of data cheaper for 1line on post paid... and if you have multiple lines it goes down to 35/45 bucks per line. I do pre paid because I refuse to  pay 70$ for one line. I have excellent credit btw. And 800$+ is good for an apple (I like apple and Samsung) but apple is more in my price plus I like the fact that apple had smaller phones . I also live in a nice neighborhood but with all the pkg thief’s etc no I won’t leave it sitting outside especially when other customers are offered curbside pick up.

Right? Like why attack my credit/reason for having prepay and how much/what type of phone I wanna pay for.  For the record I have Excellent credit... like good quality phones (don’t mind paying a bit extra) ... live in a decent neighborhood ....cause us pre pay people don’t all live in the  ghetto have bad credit and can only afford a 40.00 phone...but seriously I don’t like being charged more because I don’t have multiple lines and don’t like being treated like a second rate customer not being able to receive the convenience of pre ordering and picking up my phone in person. Rather than having to go to a store waiting a long time to be helped (If that’s even an option)go through the process of ordering it there/getting it   or having it delivered and left out all day possibly stolen or damaged in shipping.

Monkeygurl80, we can understand why you feel that way. However, with all of our phones, we require a signature for delivery. This is because of the cost of the phone. Prepaid shipments should not be different than Postpaid shipments in this regard. In order to order a phone and pick it up at a store, the store needs to have the device physically on hand. If one is not available at an applicable store in your area, then store pickup is not an option. - ErichC_VZW

Where exactly are you seeing that prepay customers can't order online and pick up in store?   Post a link as that doesn't make any sense.   Are you sure the store had the phone in stock?  I signed up for UPS my choice so reroute expensive  packages up the street to the UPS store and pick up at my leisure.   Have done the same with fed ex packages to the nearest fed ex store.
