How much is the charge for accessing voicemail from my mobile phone?

Hi, I have the prepaid phone for $60/mo with unlimited text and calling and 500MB data. I've read that I will be "charged airtime" for accessing my voicemail from my phone. How much is this charge?

Ok I will bite. you use minutes to call voicemail. since I don't  have pre-pay I am going to say if you have unlimited calling why would you be charged for accessing your voice mail on your phone. it use to be when you paid for each phone call it was around .25¢ for that call. I don't think it would cost you anything with unlimited minutes.

You could always call your own phone number then when the voice recording starts you touch the pound # key and then it will say please enter your pass code. enter the pass code and then listen to the prompts to hear your voicemail.

Good Luck

* I mean call from another phone.

** On my phone its *86 to access voice mail. it may be different with pre pay. I would call verizon *611 and ask if there is a charge.

Thanks but in the FAQ on Verizon's site it specifically says mobile minutes can't be used and you will be charged airtime if u access the voicemail from your mobile phone. Does anyone know how much the charge is?

Where did you read this?  In reading through the plan information for the Prepaid $60 plan you have, there is no mention of an extra charge for accessing voicemail from the phone.

Which FAQ are you quoting?  And does it apply to your specific plan and account?  All I read is that MOBILE TO MOBILE minutes cannot be used (and that applies to post paid as well) and that you are charged minutes ("airtime") - voicemail has always been this way.  If you have unlimited minutes, then the voicemail call will use minutes, but not cost you anything more than what you are already paying.

SuzyQ is correct, there is only minutes charged with the Daily Prepaid accounts. This is different than the Unlimited text, talk and Data month to month accounts. So there is no charge for answering voice mail.

Voice is voice.  Data is data.  They are two distinctly different things.  That is unless you're using VoIP to make voice calls.
