For the last 2 or 3 days my iphone won't connect to my NE. Why?? Somebody help. I've already tried resetting the NE, all the lights on it are blue, I've tried moving close to it, I've tried turning my phone off then on, I've looked for settings on my phone which might be a problem. So far...nothing!!! Grrr.
Help.

Does #48 not connect? If not, check that VoLTE calling/ Advanced Calling is disabled on your phone in your settings. Network Extenders will not connect to phones with VoLTE enabled.

No it says "you are not under network extender coverage". I saw a post
about VoLTE but the 5S only has data over LTE, unlike the 6. I did try
turning off LTE altogether though and that didn't work.
I'm wondering if when I changed my plan from family share to single line
plan last Fall, maybe I should've registered the extender again or
something??? Not that I know how to do that....

You should not have to register the ext again. Plan should not have changed that as the extender is not a monthly fee or plan service.

I haven't updated my iOS in forever. Could that affect it?

You are very correct. Give that a shot, try again. We can take it from there.

I believe so, I know the last update I saw on my iPad 2 was to decrease required disk space for updates. IF you find an error message stating you have too little space, backup some files and photos to your Mac/PC or to iCloud or Verizons cloud or whichever service and you should be fine to take the update.
