Verizon Edge FAQs | Verizon Wireless
I'm an existing Verizon Wireless customer and received a letter about not being eligible or having to make a down payment for Verizon Edge. How can I become eligible?
Because Verizon Edge is an installment agreement to pay for equipment over time, we check for financial good standing on any account in your name. If you're not currently eligible for Verizon Edge, there's a variety of ways to qualify for this type of equipment payment option:
For your convenience, there are several ways to make a payment:
Nota: También podrías ser elegible para Verizon Edge al hacer un pago inicial dentro de los primeros 6 meses de servicio con Verizon Wireless con base en la decisión de crédito de activación original cuando abriste tu cuenta.
I need to add a few more pieces of information regarding my account status... Im never late making my payments, i recently finished a 2 year contract with verizon. So my credit with verizon should be golden, but it appears somebody at verizon finds it funny to punish customers for paying off their phone in full.........
If you call and ask, you will be told what is the reason you cannot get another phone on Edge.
Yeah, giving a call to Verizon for the specific reasons would be your best bet.
yea you would think so..... go ahead call for me, get an answer after he/she speaks with supervisor, then go to store twice for 2 different answers, then do the online chat with customer care, for the 4th.... this is ridiculous, dont you think I would have called them by now?
What 4 answers did you receive?
1st. when you end an edge agreement (buyout contract) you have to wait 45 days to enter a new edge contract.
2nd. it takes a few billing cycles for the "system" to proccess the fact that you just paid off your phone.
3rd. i was in a loyalty data plan, the one thats 6gb for $60, so customer care said that was the issue, he removed me from the loyalty data plan and put me into the 4gb for $60, and i gave it a couple days, im still not able to upgrade.
4th. my mistake their were only 3
Well, I agree, those are all very lame excuses. I can't believe you gave up 6 GB for $60. That was a terrible recommendation. None of those are valid reasons.
its like there is a concrete wall between the rule makers at verizon and the employees....i was hoping posting this on here might stand a better chance at getting this resolved.
