The newer plans do include mobile hotspot for all lines. Older plans (Nationwide family share) required an add on fee for each line you wanted to use the hotspot on.
What plan do you have?
Hurb44, thanks for confirming the current plan you have. You should be able to use hotspot on any capable smartphone active on the account. Has the line been able to connect to hotspot in the past? What make/model phone is it?

The phone is the Samsung Galaxy S6, I don't think that we ever have been able to use it as a hotspot. The message that I keep getting is (To use Mobile Hotspot you will need to subscribe to the Mobile Hotspot service) I can not find anywhere in MY VERIZON where I can change the service for this phone.
Sounds like a glitch in the system. I would suggest that you call customer service at 1-800-922-0204 from a landline or *611 from your phone and request they double check your account to allow the hotspot feature.
