our family has a small data plan, 2GB, which is typically sufficient for us. Recently I checked our data useage on the Verizon app. It showed 58% with 10 days remaining. Yesterday I checked it again, and it said 8% with 8 days remainin, and this morning with 7 days left we are out of data. We have home WiFi, and have been home. My husband and daughter both stream shows and videos on YouTube while connected to our home WiF. The details show my husbands phone is the culprit using 1.32GB, with 58% on "web". Is their video streaming causing this huge data useage?
Are all of you manually turning off the cellular data connection when you expect to be connected a wifi router for extended periods of time? If you have iPhones, do you have wifi assist OFF? For Android devices, do you have the "avoid poor wifi connections" off?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
