Will My Family Members Share From My Unlimted Data Plan?

Miembro

For unlimited, if i bring family members on for 45 a month, do they share my pool of 22gb lte or get their own seperate?

Just wondering if it's a shared pool of data for unlimited family.

It is not $45 per line. It only averages that if you have 4 lines.

To calculate cost it is $110 for the plan, then add $20 for each line you add. Subtract $10 for autopay.

If your plan has 5 total family members with 5 phones, that is $110+($20*5) = $210. Minus $10 if you autopay for $200.

The 22 GB is per line, not per account, so it is not a shared number. Remember this is a soft cap deprioritization and not a hard cap. That means even if 1 line hits 22 GB, full speed will continue unless the cell tower is congested. Only then will it slow down. The deprioritization only affects the line that reached 22 GB, and does not affect other lines on the plan.

I have 4 lines so $45 a month would be my my case.

Also, is the same de-prioritized data rule after streaming 10gb lte hotspot?

No. The hotspot has a hard cap at 10GB and then throttling to 600 mbps.

The phone has soft cap at 22GB and then deprioritization after that. That means in many cases the speed will continue at the same full speed. Only when the tower is congested would you slow down. In most cases it will be faster than the throttling of the hotspot.

That is what my husband and I thought. Now I am very confused. We are on an unlimited data shared plan. My husband and two of our children are on one plan. Last week, I was in tech support chat and chatting with a level 2 tech agent because my data internet connection had been very slow and virtually nonexistent for months. The agent told me it was because we were being network managed for being over the 22 GB. I told the agent that my line was nowhere near reaching 22 GB and never is near reaching that because I can't ever use my data because it is too slow. The agent said that, that doesn't matter. If our account goes over the 22 GB, then all the lines are networked managed. So, I asked the agent if my stepson goes over 22 GB, my line is slowed down even though I have only used 6 GB? And I added that another tech a year ago told me that was not true - that it is per line, not per account. And, this level 2 tech said "No, it is only per line for hotspot usage. It is absolutely true for the plan you are on." So they were saying I need to buy a plan that allows for more data for the account total usage so my phone is not slowed down when my stepson goes over the 22 GB. I still have the screenshots of this support chat. I don't know what to believe anymore. I can't find it in writing anywhere and this has happened so many times. One VZW person tells me it is per line and another VZW tells me it is for the entire account.

I had this plan and it worked great for me.  The past several months has been awful. Now they are slowing all lines after 22 gigs total is used and instead of $110 it went to $190.  I did not authorize this
