Why don't all my contacts appear when I sync with the Messages Desktop App?

I know there's plenty of threads out there - and I've search but couldn't find a resolution specific to my problem.

Issue: Not all contact names sync onto Messages+ Desktop App. It identifies the contact from their phone number instead of the contact name. This only happens to maybe 20% of the contacts. I've tried looking at whether it was how the phone number was listed, name of contacts, but the issue seems to be completely random.

-I've imported the contacts into My Verizon Cloud Contacts. When logging into My Verizon, contact shows up with their actual name listed.

-I've tried deleting all contacts and importing from scratch. Issue still persists. There shouldn't be anything wrong with the contact name as it does appear in My Verizon Cloud when logging in through the Web App.

-I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the messages+ App across all platforms to no avail. And I am currently on the latest version.

-I've experienced this issue on both my HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S6.

-I'm also experiencing this issue across both Windows & OS X.

Is anyone else experiencing this and do you have a resolution? It's obviously not a huge problem, but it can be quite a nuisance when a contact I'd like to text isn't listed by their name and I have to go into my phone to find their phone number.

After talking with a verizon specialist via chat, I ended up removing the Verizon Cloud and all was fixed.  I back things up myself to google drive anyway.

I am having this same problem.  I uploaded contacts (from gmail) using the verizon messages online app but they do not appear on my desktop app.  Any ideas?

That happened to me a few times - try unsyncing and resyncing the Desktop app.
