Suspending Service Issues...

Does anyone know why the website will take me to the Suspend/Reconnect page but then won't let me suspend my device for any reason besides military deployment?

I will be out of the country for six months for my studies and want to keep my number, but I'm a bit confused as to why it doesn't give me the chance to choose the "other" option. It just says that some suspension services are currently unavailable. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I fix it?

Please visit this link (https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/suspend-service-faqs/) and suspend your service with the My Verizon App (https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/new-my-verizon-app-faqs/) as per number 2. Let us know if you are able to suspend your service with the application on your phone.
