Last week I switched to Verizon's $40 prepaid plan, after using Boost Mobile for years.
After spemding about two hours in chat with a Verizon rep, I was told Verizon blocks short codes for two-step verification sent from my financial institutions because I'm using prepaid. Thus, they can't bill me for those in pre-paid. I find this to be absurd. I never had a problem on this with Boost mobile, and I'm ready to switch back.
I've seen many threads about this on the community message boards, but no resolution to the matter. Can anyone clarify this problem and suggest a solution? Thanks for your replies.
