I currently have the unlimited text and talk data plan and I wanted to know if I could call to Puerto Rico for no extra charge or if I would need to add international calling or something.

nairy991,
Great question. If you are in the United States there is no extra charge to call Puerto Rico. It is considered domestic.

I dialed Puerto Rico number 787-314-#### (I hid number) and received a voice message from Verizon that I would be charged international long distance.
In previous post I read that Verizon responded that PR is considered international because "it does not have a country code". This is totally false, Puerto Rico has the same code as USA "1".
AAT, T-Mobile, and Sprint do treat Puerto Rico as Domestic since it is a US Territory and all island born people and Citizens have American Citizenship since 1917. If Puerto Ricans bear children in a foreign country they are born as American Citizens, by right.
Why does Verizon discriminate?
