Final Bill Refund

Since I can't seem to get anyone on the phone to help me and on the chat either, or can't find a customer service email address for that matter, I have decided to post here.

I had a family account with verizion wireless (no contract anymore). On Jan 26 2014, I canceled my verizon wireless account on both lines (neither line was under contract anymore). On my final bill I was charged for full services between Jan 23 - Feb 22. Even though I only used 3 days worth of service Jan 23 - 26, they would not pro-rate it for me. I was told on the phone that I would have to pay the full bill and that they would send me the credit for the 27 days later.

Well, I received another statement a month later that said my balance was $0 (no credit owed to me). I called verizon customer service again and they said that they would not refund me the 27 days of credit. Without any kind of explanation.

Now that doesn't make any sense to me, for me to have to pay for service that I didn't receive, especially since I wasn't under contact. I need to talk to a customer service representative, preferrably over email so we can straighten this out and I can get my 27 days worth of charges refunded to me.

It says that only prepaid customers are not entitled to refund. I am not a prepaid customer.

Si te estás suscribiendo al Servicio Pospago, aceptas suscribirte a una línea de Servicio ya sea de mes a mes o con un contrato por un plazo mínimo, como se indica en tu recibo o confirmación de pedido. (Si su Servicio se suspende sin facturación, o a una tarifa reducida de facturación, ese tiempo no se computa a efectos de completar el plazo de su contrato). Una vez que se haya completado el plazo de tu contrato, automáticamente pasarás a ser un cliente con servicio de mes a mes para dicha línea de Servicio. If you cancel a line of Service, or if we cancel it for good cause, during its contract term, you'll have to pay an early termination fee. I just talked to a representative on the phone and a separate one on livechat.  They both told me that not only do I have to pay the bill for 29 days of no service but that I cannot talk to a supervisor.  The phone rep said that yes they do have supervisors but they are too busy to deal with such things.  When I cancelled, the rep who of course was a different one told me that I wouldn't be charged for the last month.  Apparently Verizon's customer service has no interest in actually rendering any service.

They really are not going to help you. Sorry. You should have look at the contract before cancelling.

There were no charges incurred until then.  No data used, no calls made.  The only charges incurred are charges Verizon chooses to make because they are getting away with it.
