Cannot reregister for MyVerizon after converting from postpaid to prepaid

I recently converted from a verizon postpaid account to a prepaid account. I kept my same number, iPhone 5c, and SIM card. Immediately after the conversion I was able to log in to MyVerizon using my same credentials on my postpaid account. GREAT I thought! However, the next day I am unable to log in. I was told I needed to register a new account since I switched to prepaid. When I attempt to reregister from my laptop I get to the screen that prompts me to get a free text with a secure pin. When I click submit the next screen tells me that I cannot register this number at this time.

If I try to register from the app on my phone I don't get very far. After I click register and enter in my number it says "MDN belongs to RSS Prepay Customer (610)"

I just want to register for MyVerizon so that I can manage my new prepaid plan and see remaining data. How can I do this?

Call customer service and have them unregister the number.
