Don't you have a SETTINGS option where ABOUT PHONE tells you the OS?

In settings it does not list "operating system". It says "Android version" 7.1.1   It does not say Nougat but that is what a previous answer and others are telling me. No where can I find the word operating system or the word Nougat. This is not my world. I needed to know the operating system and somehow I am supposed to know that it is Android 7.1.1 Nougat from a listing for Version. Thanks for responded. I think I'll go back to cans, string and buttons. Laus Deo!
