I got this from CNET.COM ---->    The device will be revealed at events on April 28 and April 29 (due to time zones) in six cities: New York, London, Paris, Seoul, Singapore and Istanbul.

So that may not be in stores until mid to late May. Pre-orders should start a week or so after the reveal in the above citys.

I think it's time for all us G3 owners to face the likelihood that Verizon has no intention to update our devices to lollipop. When they are updating much older handsets and leaving us out can only mean a few things in my mind. Either the bugs are to much for them to fix or its going to wait until they can put in the time needed. That could mean never or many months from now. Also the total lack of any communication from them on this says they just don't care. We should all rethink our options with other carriers. Just my opinions on this but we work hard for our money so why not go with a carrier that provides updates in a timely manner.

This is the whole issue. Every other carrier now has updated their G3s to one version of Lollipop or another. Some have reported issues, but I have also read of people happier with it. We don't know what's going on with Verizon. THEY DON'T COMMUNICATE. No one whats a bad update, but without someone from Verizon going on record and saying what the problem is, we just assume they are not prioritizing our phone. If they would just put out a release that says, "Hey, we've been testing it and the update does this or that, and we want to fix it. We hope to know more in the next few weeks." That would be great. Unfortunately, we, the customers, are not worthy of their time and effort to let us know why we have been overlooked when others have gotten their update.

As for everyone hoping this will just wait for 5.1, I've not found anything on the internet that says LG is even planning on 5.1 for anything other than the G4. I've not seen any other manufacturer planning a 5.1 update. Only Nexus phones. Everyone else is looking at 5.0.1 or 5.0.2. So, let's not get ahead of ourselves hoping for 5.1. That may never happen.

Except have all the latest security updates. It has been almost 6 months since the last security update. Do you really think there are no vulnerabilities? Why do you think Windows updates every month. There are always vulnerabilities. The longer a version is out there, the longer the hackers have to crack them.
