I had a similar issue. I bought the phone when it came out and come July 1st the phone had bricked on me. Now the one that they had sent me has a loose bottom to it and the battery won't last even an entire work day. I regret not getting the S7 and now stuck with this till the contract is up.
You could purchase another phone at the full retail price or a slightly used phone from a third party retailer. Once you have activated a different phone, you can sell the one you don't want any more.
