I suggest you keep going then, especially if they are replacing them for free. While you will never get one that works 100% perfectly or how you want, I can't imagine that every single phone you get has the exact same problems as the one before.
When you get a replacement you're meant to keep your own battery correct? If it has a quick drain then spend $10 and a get a new battery.
