The LG G2 that i just purchased 4 days ago is not allowing alarms to go off and the phone is slow and my texts are not sending or receiving what is wrong with my brand new phone?

I have just purchased my LG G2 4 days ago.  I noticed last night that my messages were not sending and receiving.  Then this morning my alarms did not go off at 6 am or 7 am.  This is a brand new phone and I just switched from Tmobile to Verizon after 6 years.  I am disappointed that I am already having issues.  Not to mention that the one text I did get to come through after a restart was that after 4 days the 1 gb of data is at 75%-UGGGGHHH!  My daughters and I never went over 700 mg of data in 6 years and in 4 days we are already over 700 mb!  What on earth?!?  We all know how to connect and use Wi-Fi and keep data turned off to prevent this mishap, so I do not understand what has happened.  Never once went over with Tmobile and I am looking at a two year contract and high bills because of data?  Could something be causing this problem too?

So back to my original problem.  My LG G2 not processing smoothly & quickly.  My alarms are not working and texts messages are not sending and receiving where can I get help?  Should I just take the phone back and exchange?

Welcome to the Verizon family, ivpacks! I regret to learn that your alarms didn't work. I also regret that there is a problem with the messages. Have you tried the alarm again? Does it still not work? For instance, just set the alarm for a couple of minutes away to ensure that the alarm goes off.

When you send a text, do you get an error? If you power the phone off/on, do the messages send? This particular issue is expecting a software update to resolve the issue with texts and picture messages.

I believe that you have chosen a great device, but keep in mind that there is a 14 day exchange period. If you exchange for the same make/model, you will not pay the restocking fee.
If you do exchange for a different make/model, there is a $35.00 restocking fee.

If you ported your number in from T-Mobile, that *could* explain the problem with the text messaging - it can take several days for accounts to work properly, consistently, after a port from another carrier.  Four days should be enough, and hopefully it will get better.  You can try removing and then re-seating the SIM card to re-connect with the network - that may jog things so the y work better too.

As to the alarms, that would be a function of the phone itself and I don't know what could be the issue there.  I know this is a "basic" question, but did you specify AM for the time?  I know I have set calendar events to the opposite of what it should have been without realizing it....

When will this software update be available for everyone? I know everyone would love it if messages, alarms, battery issues, Knock on issues, and screen issues were fixed. I hate having a $600 LG G2 paper weight!

I'm not exactly sure what you're referring to. This is more of a single user issue, than it is everyone with a G2. I have the G2, and the phone is a dream. The only issue I have is the low sound, but that's an LG issue, not Verizon. As for everything else you've mentioned, I haven't had a problem with any of it.

Same issue here. Getting error messages when sending or receiving pictures. Messages come through good on my tablet, but who wants to carry a tablet around to take or send pictures. Funny exactly 14 days when the exchange perios is up. We shouldnt have to pay a restocking fee since it obviuosly is the device or system upgrade gliche. I am so upset, cannot win. This is the second time since July 19th I have had and issue. First the phone froze now this

kjacunski We surely don't want you to have issues with your new phone. Since you are within the 14 day return time frame, you can return it for a brand new device of the same make and model. Or we can try and troubleshoot the device with you.
