My device has been replaced with a completely different phone. In fact the
phone that overheated was one of a few that had replaced over only a few
weeks. Also I complained the same day I received it saying it was
constantly recycling power and the man I spoke with insisted it was the
battery. Obviously there was some sort of shortage within the phone. I
received a pretty bad burn from this incident and wondering why it has
taken so long for someone from Verizon to contact me. I called customer
service many times only to get nowhere fast. Even just the other day they
had the nerve to text me saying they were charging my accnt for that device
because it wasn't shipped to them. When I was told not too ship it. I was
told to bring it to a Verizon store. A most frustrating experience to say
the least.

Of course it's something that they will want you to buy. that's all verizon wants is to suck as much money out of as possible. And all the while giving us defective and dangerous equipment.

I would love to find out if I can get a replacement for my lg revolution (without having to buy a new phone). I have had trouble with my phone for the whole time I have owned it and it is extremely frustrating. I believe this phone (not just mine, but the product itself) is a lemon. Can someone at Verizon please contact me?
Thanks.

This is a customer-to-customer forum; Verizon reps occasionally pop in and respond, but it's sporadic. You might want to contact Customer Service via the Contact Us link at the top of the page.

I've had my Revolution for over a year, largely without problems. Last night while I was in a movie theater I had to take it out of my pocket and pull the battery out, because I thought it was going to burn my leg though my pants. After the movie was over, I put a different battery in (I have two, so I don't have to walk around asking people where I can plug in my phone). The new battery went from 100% to 55% during the 20 minute drive home, and heat warnings actually came up on the screen.
I have to assume the problem is with the phone itself, because surely both batteries wouldn't mess up in exactly the same way at the same time.

Wow...I thought I might be alone in my problems!! Nope!
I have had many of the same problems you are all having. I have had my phone for a little over a year. I have had one factory reset done already. I went to the Verizon store yesterday and they are supposed to be shipping me a new phone to arrive today. I really do not have many apps or go above anything other than the usual facebook, email, internet uses.
My problems have been:
Not keeping a battery charge or poor battery function
Not ending calls when I push the end button
Screens locking up
Phone shutting down at random times
My phone actually ANSWERED a call without me even touching it; I had NO idea anyone was even on the line
Text messages not going through or going through hours after I sent them
Not getting incoming texts
SLOW startup time
Incredibly slow screen times (going from messaging to home)
Shutting down apps or locking up when it feels like it
The battery does get incredibly hot, but I haven't thankfully had the battery issues that many have had
Like I said, all of these problems started about six months or so after I got the phone. I had the reset done and it was fine for a couple of months. Now they are back and they are back with a vengence. The girl I spoke with yesterday at the store told me it was probably a software issue. I think the phone is just a piece of junk. I had another LG phone several years ago and I had some of the same issues with it. I should have learned my lesson. NEVER again will I buy another LG phone. NEVER.

I took my phone to a local verizon store and was told it was a "troubleshooting" issue and that I would have to call verizon customer service. Haven't done that yet. I don't know if that would be helpful.
