Having a device in which you can depend upon is goal number one, STARMANULTRA. When did your girlfriend begin to notice this issue? Have there been any recent changes to the device? For example Software, Applications, etc?

Thinking about this again: This service is used for VoLTE, so if possible, disable VoLTE on the phone/account and see if this solves the issue before a FDR.

She said the phone was acting slow earlier while she was on Facebook so she
powered down and restarted the device, after restarting it displayed LG IMS
not working. I've since restarted the device, now only the apps appeared,
screen in back stays black and now home is not responding.

This is concerning to hear, STARMANULTRA. Not to worry though we will find a solution. Have there been any recent updates on your phone? Have you removed the SIM card and battery as well? If not, please try this step and keep me updated on your progress.

I'm not sure about app updates, but the last system update was in Nov. Of
last year. And no taking sim card out or the battery.
